Why, then, are so many ATM operators unable to name the various components of the ATM machines they use to dispense money every day?
Amazed by the lack of information some people have regarding the equipment they use daily. It's probably not imperative that every ATM operator be able to competently describe the parts and pieces of these valuable tools, but it is certainly vital the Field Repair Maintenance Technician have the proper screwdrivers to remove Identification Tab Screws. For instance, this special task on a Hyosung ATM Cash Cassette requires Elliptical Tool Screwdrivers. For something even as simple as Hyosung ATM cassettes cleaning must have the elliptical screwdriver (Hyosung Tool Elliptical Screwdriver) for installation and removal.
Although ATM customers can skip this bit of fundamental terminology, and practically avoid ATM machine definitions and descriptions. Seasoned professionals may want to have Newelectronx Screwdriver ready.
Many ATM Models, require CDU PM every 12 months or 80,000 transactions. These ATM models will require an elliptical screwdriver to remove ellipse head screws from the cassette: Hyosung Tool Elliptical Screwdriver Models : NH 2700CE, MX 5300XP, MX 7600T, NH 1800CE, NH 1500, MX 5600, MX 5100T, MX 5000CE, NH 2200, MX 5200T, MX 7000T, NH 1800SE, NH 1800, NH 2700T, NH 5050, MX 5000SE, NH 2500, MX 7100T, MX 5600T, NH 1000, NH 2000, NH 2100T, NH 9030, MX 5100, MX 7600D, MX 7600I, MX 7000D, NH 2150, MX 7600FFL, MX 7600DR, MX 5300CE
1) Perform preventative maintenance of CDU repair calls and every 3 month procedures.
2) Mandatory, Cassette pick roller rubbers MUST BE REPLACED. Support engineering
recommends the replacing of these component every year or 80,000 transactions.
The following are instructions how to replace the pick rubber rollers using the Newelectronx elliptical screwdriver.
A) Cassette Pick up Mechanism and Pick Roller Rubber Replacement
Open the cover of the cassette and pull back the push plate to lock.
B) Loosen up both screws securing the bottom of the pick-up mechanism and remove both gold
plated screws securing the top assembly.
C) Using an Newelectronx elliptical screwdriver remove both ellipse head screws from the rear bottom side of the cassette.
D) Remove both ellipse head screws with the elliptical screwdriver and lift upwards the cassette pick up mechanism from rear/top cover.
E) Pick Roller rubbers must be replaced every year or 80,000 transactions (P/N 6014809). It is
recommend replacing these rollers if they appear to be worn out due to excessive usage and if
the cassette is experiencing excessive pick failures. After main pick up mechanism assembly
has been removed, you may rotate the picking rollers until you have full access to the rubber
rollers, replace each roller at a time by slide them out of their roller housing.
F) Reassemble by reversing the disassembly procedure.
3) Reminder: After you repaired and performed your PM, it is imperative that you run diagnostics.
Unit must be fully tested and by going out of diagnostics the enhanced controller will initialize
forcing the CDU controller board to re-adjust the top sensors of the main body module (CS4,
CS10A, CS10B, CS13 and CS14).
